I was blessed to have been a part of the first group trained in Canada. Onyfix is a German product that came to Canada in October of 2019. It is a Health Canada “Medical Device, Class 1”.
Onyfix is a revolutionary nail correction system, which helps ingrown or involuted toenails grow back to their natural shape without the need for surgery or any pain. A hardened composite material is used to act like a brace on the nail plate, which is cured by a LED light. Recently, it was noticed that Onyfix works great for cracks and nail reconstruction as well.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Onyfix will remain on the nail until the nail passes through an entire growth cycle, from root to tip. It will be regularly monitored monthly to bimonthly. I recommend 3-4 bands, depending on the nail’s response . The first visit involves the initial application of Onyfix (hard or soft). Then a nail trimming visit is recommended every 4 to 8 weeks. Once complete, the composite is removed and the nail continues to grow naturally.
