Thai Foot Reflexology with Massage

HISTORY

Thai foot reflexology is a marriage between the ancient healing arts of reflexology, Chinese tuina,  Japanese shiatsu and Indian Ayurvedic yoga.   You will see practitioners on the sides of the streets offering therapy to those after long days of work and even tourists.

In Thai Reflexology,  a small wooden stick is used to massage the reflexology points. The stick enables me to increase the intensity of pressure and it also allows me to feel small crystals or grains under the skin of the feet that I can’t feel with my fingers, knuckles or thumbs.

The crystals are comprised of uric acid and indicate energy blocks in the body. The 1/4″ tip of the reflexology stick enables me to focus on the pressure in a small area and at a greater depth. This helps to locate and break up the crystals in the feet and clear the corresponding energy block.

Foot reflexology and massage can extend into the ankles and legs, because of this a detailed medical history is required prior to the therapy.

WHAT TO EXPECT

With the lights dimmed and relaxing in my recliner,  you will receive this amazing therapy.  All by the gentle touch of my hands, knuckles, thumbs and Thai stick, this type of drugless treatment will create a physiological change in your body.   Light stretching and massage of your legs, feet and soles will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for a nap, even if you napped already. (That is our little secret)
