ToeFx: fungal toenails
ToeFX is the only photodisinfection technology is Health Canada Authorized for the treatment of toenail fungus. The ClearToe Serum works by binding to fungal cells and staining them in a way that makes them vulnerable to destruction by light. Most infections are cleared up within six months. The ClearToe technology has a proven safety record with no known side effects and has entered the Canadian market with partnerships all across the country. As of September 2022, I was the seventh clinic to open up in Saskatchewan.
PRIOR TO MAKING AN APPOINTMENT
As a nurse I am unable to diagnose or treat fungal toenails without a physician's note. The physician's in Esterhazy, SK are aware and promote this treatment. Please book an appointment with your family physician prior to booking an appointment with me. If you do not doctor in Esterhazy please contact me and I will gladly contact the medical clinic you doctor with.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
During your treatments I will debride your toenails and then apply the ClearToe Serum which will be allowed to dry for 15 minutes. Your toenails will then be placed under the ClearToe Light Therapy for another 15 minutes. The ClearToe Light Therapy is an LED light and no special protective eyewear is required. It is a painless and safe treatment!
CLEARTOE SERUM
The ClearToe serum will cause a temporary blue color to your nails that will fade between treatments. Parts that are affected by the fungal infection will remained stained as it has bound to those cells. This will be less as more treatments are had and the fungal infection clears.
One important thing to note is that the ClearToe Serum does stain!
I recommend bringing a pair of clean dark socks to your appointments.
